Since 2019, and in collaboration with GIZ, Science Camp has developed a 250-liter per day water generation system, making Science Camp the first innovation space to rely entirely on water generated from the air, with a quality that exceeds the quality of the national water network in Basra and without the need to consume any additional energy. The Science Camp aspires to make its experience in producing water from the air available to the public and private sectors and predicts to fill a need for more than 60% of Iraq’s clean water for most months of the year.
